The Resilient Responder
A 3–5 day on-site drop-off of the Xavier sensory and calming trailer for law enforcement and first responder agencies — HRV check-in, psychoeducation, and suicide prevention/resiliency education, followed by daily 30-minute mobile sensory unit use blocks.
Audience: First responders (law enforcement, fire, EMS, dispatch)
Format: 3–5 day on-site drop-off · 30-minute use blocks daily
The Resilient Responder is a 3–5 day on-site program delivered directly to law enforcement and first responder agencies. We drop off the Xavier sensory and calming trailer at the agency location so personnel can access it during their shifts across multiple days.
Each engagement begins with a heart rate variability (HRV) check-in to establish a baseline, followed by psychoeducation and suicide prevention / resiliency education tailored to the occupational stressors of first responders. Personnel then rotate through 30-minute blocks of use time on the mobile sensory unit — light therapy, sound therapy, weighted items, aromatherapy, tactile play, movement/breathing, VR calming, biofeedback (HRV), and quiet space — across 5 days on site.
The extended, low-barrier format lets personnel decompress on their own schedule while building resiliency skills and connecting with peer support resources.
